Bulk Up Your Healthy Diet Plans With Fiber

This question is about how fiber really works in healthy diet plans.

Q:  Is it true that fiber has no calories and can help me achieve healthy weight loss?

A:  False and true.

It is false that all fiber has no calories. Soluble fiber, which you should be consuming more of because of its benefits, does have calories just like a normal carbohydrate molecule.  4 calories per 1 gram.  Insoluble fiber essentially has zero calories because of your body’s inability to break it down.

Yes, fiber can help you to lose weight.  There have been numerous studies showing the benefit of fiber and healthy weight loss.  One of the big reasons is that fiber requires extra chewing and it slows down the absorption of nutrients so your body is somewhat tricked into thinking you are fuller faster and that you have eaten enough.  Try this in your healthy diet plans.
