Is Stress Preventing Your Healthy Weight Loss Achievements?

A common excuse or reason I hear for people not achieving healthy weight loss is that they have stress and hunger issues that are different from everyone else.

There is some truth to this, but it isn’t a reason for why you can’t lose weight.  How people experience hunger and cope with stress are important in determining who becomes overweight and who doesn’t, but this doesn’t prevent you from losing weight.

You are going to have to work a little harder and focus a little more than someone else.  So that means learning to control your stress and more self-monitoring of situations where you are known to show weakness for the wrong foods and overeat or emotionally eat.

You can still lose weight, but you need to address the fact that you may have to focus a little harder on those areas of weakness.  We all tend to blame other people or sources for our lack of weight loss, but in the end it really comes down to us focusing, exercising with a high intensity and following a consistent eating program.  These methods will allow the majority of America to successfully achieve their healthy weight loss goals.
