Some Tips for Healthy Eating for Nighttime Recovery |
Here's a healthy eating tip about which type of protein you should eat before bed to promote recovery. You should actually consume both whey and casein protein to supply your body with fast and slow digesting proteins. This helps you in a couple of ways. Whey provides quick nutrition to help with immediate recovery of muscles and the casein protein helps provide longer term nutrient delivery so that there is a better chance of staying in an anabolic state while sleeping. This benefits you by preserving lean muscle. It also keeps your metabolism running efficiently so you can burn more of them, particularly fat calories, and keep up with your healthy diet plans. Result: A leaner you. There is a recipe below that I use sometimes at night to deliver both whey and casein into my cells.
