I am going to put it to you straight…

There is a lot of miscommunication out there.  From the right diet plan…to how much exercise you should do…

There is a lot of information out there, that most people are on information overload.

People don’t know where to turn…what to eat…or even how to exercise in order to reach their goals.

It’s a fact: People are just overwhelmed and don’t really know where to start when it comes to eating right (or exercising) to change their bodies.

Well today I want to cut through the BS and show you ONE food that you need to have more of.

In fact, if you were to change ONE thing with your current eating plan, it should be including MORE of THIS one food.

But first, I must share something with you…

Most people start a diet or an exercise program for one reason: To lose weight.  But we really need to change that perspective.

When you really think about why you’re losing weight, its not just to look good it’s about feeling good and improving your health.

Am I right?

So we need to stop thinking in terms of weight loss and start thinking about changing our diets and exercise program in order to change our health.

It could be cutting your blood sugar to prevent diabetes…

It could be eliminating processed foods in order to cut down your risk for some form of cancer…

And it could be including the RIGHT foods for protecting your heart and reducing the risk for a heart attack!

Now, I am about to blow your mind wide open…

There is ONE food that may be able to PREVENT all three of the conditions above—and help you lose weight in the process!

And surprisingly, this food is actually considered a SNACK FOOD—but a healthy one!

The food in question happens to be ALMONDS!   Are you surprised?

Let’s take a good hard look at this snack food and why, if you change anything about your diet, including more almonds should be the FIRST THING on your list.

(Of course, if you're allergic to nuts, it may be hard to include almonds into your diet.  Some people who suffer from nut allergies may be allergic to a certain kind of nut, therefore other nuts may be appropriate.  Contact your doctor for more clarification.)

The Wonderful World of the Almond

Let’s start with a little known fact: Almonds are actually not really a nut!  They are actually a type of fruit that host a whole lot of nutrition inside of them.

Almonds are loaded with fiber, protein, vitamin E, and magnesium—just to name a few of the nutrients they possess.

But what makes almonds the BEST food to include if you’re looking to improve your health?

Well, here’s just a snippet of healthful things almonds can do:

  • Weight loss—besides the fact they contain plenty of fiber, almonds also contain protein and monounsaturated fats, which are beneficial to improve weight loss results.
  • Control Hunger—again, the fiber found in almonds may actually improve meal satisfaction—meaning you’re less hungry after you eat a meal.
  • Stabilize blood sugar—out-of-control blood sugar levels may easily lead to unruly cravings and weight gain.   The fiber and the healthy fats found in almonds may help stabilize blood sugar levels, therefore improving your ability to kill cravings

These are just a few of the benefits of almonds when it comes to weight loss.  But here’s where the almonds really hit a home run in terms of health:

Almonds may lower your risk for heart disease by lowering your cholesterol!

Seriously, this is so important for you to understand!  High cholesterol may increase your risk for developing heart disease, having a heart attack, or even having a stroke.

So when someone says, “if you eat this food, your cholesterol will go down,” you should probably listen to them!

For years, the research on almonds has been strong.  There have been correlations to lower LDL (bad) cholesterol levels while giving the good (HDL) levels a boost—which usually is enough to show a food is good for your heart.

But:

Flash forward to August 11th, and we now have an even stronger connection!

In a new study published in the Journal of Nutrition, researchers have shown that almonds are extremely protective for the heart.

The researchers showed that almonds may: 1) increase HDL cholesterol (protects the heart and considered the “good” cholesterol, and 2) may transport LDL (bad) cholesterol particles from the blood to the liver to be used or excreted from the body.

Awesome, right?  But it gets better!

Almonds may increase your levels of mature HDL cholesterol particles by a whopping 19 percent!

(Mature HDL cholesterol travels through the body, sucking up LDL cholesterol from the blood, tissue, and organs until it’s full.
Once full, it then transports the cholesterol to the liver to be broken down by the body.)

And:

Those eating almonds showed a 6.4 percent increase in the study participants' ability to transport LDL cholesterol to the liver to be broken down.

The study authors noted: “Substituting almonds for a carbohydrate-rich snack within a lower-saturated-fat diet may be a simple strategy to maintain a favorable circulating HDL subpopulation distribution and improve cholesterol efflux in normal-weight individuals with elevated LDL cholesterol.”

But here’s the one question: how many almonds do you need to eat to gain the benefits?

The study showed that 43 grams of almonds—or a heaping handful—elicited these powerful heart-protective benefits!

What to do next…

If there was one snack food that you should be eating, it would be almonds.  Not only are they chock full of protein, fiber, vitamin E, and monounsaturated fats, almonds are also the perfect snack for improving overall health.

I know it may sound strange, but this one food—with all the good fats and nutrition—may lower cholesterol and enable your body to metabolize bad cholesterol.

This could protect your heart and lower your risk for heart disease.

But you do have to beware…

Although almonds are a super healthy choice for improving your health and stripping away years of belly fat…I’ve discovered that some popular health foods may NOT be the best choices for improving your health.  In fact, these foods may harm your metabolism and actually pack on the stubborn, unsightly body fat you’ve been fighting to keep off.

But you need to remember there are powerful foods that could help eliminate stubborn belly fat and ignite your metabolism.
